It all started in the early years of last century, in a mesmerizing rose garden at villa Les Rhumbs in Granville, nurtured by Madeleine, his mother, a little child happily gazing at the Normandy coastal view of his family home that turned into the only ‘musée de France’ dedicated to a couturier, commemorating Christian Dior’s main source of inspiration and the crucial impact of his childhood roses on his legendary vision and work.
Dior Joaillerie dreamed up by the creative director Victoire De Castellane pays tribute to the designer’s favorite flower with its reinterpreted blooms, buds, stems and even thorns to honor its wholeness in the most majestic and figurative way.
After Bois de Rose, Rose Dior Bagatelle and Rose Dior Pré Catelan lines, a fourth flower of the dreamy jewelry garden emerges with the freshness of a burgeoning bud, Rose Dior Couture. Pluralistic duality and soft elegance, the new line is home to nine pieces that include necklaces, stud earrings and rings in rose gold and diamonds inspired by Bois de Rose collection.
« I can’t get attached to something that dies so quickly, so I make flowers that last forever » one of Castellane’s famous quotes that makes Dior’s emblematic rose and heritage as timeless and joyful as the Granville days.
