Just as the year unfolds with untapped potential, so do the latest timepieces, serving as wearable statements that capture the spirit of the moment and set the tone for the journey that lies ahead. Step into 2024 adorned with the latest in horology, where every ticking second becomes a stylish reminder to start the year off right.

Jacob & Co – Epic x Titanium Sky Blue

The Epic X is a modern evolution of one of the most traditional forms of watchmaking. The open-worked, or “skeletonized” timepiece allows the movement to be visible both through the dial and the back of the watch, with as much metal removed as possible without compromising functionality. The Epic X case is bold and elegant, yet robust, so it can truly accompany you through your day, to the office, out for a casual dinner or even to an elegant party.

The manual-wind movement of the Epic X is positioned vertically and skeletonized then finely finished, so it is almost transparent. The beauty of skeletonized watches is that there are no dials – instead the highest quality sapphire crystals expose the details of the movement, including the tourbillon, wheels, gears, balance, bridges, and mainspring barrel. The design of this 44mm case is bold and distinctive, with its powerful “X” shape. The manual wind movement is on display through the antireflective sapphire crystals front and back.

Louis Vuitton – Tambour

A tone-on-tone model with silver-grey dial or one with a contrasting deep blue dial are the options for the introduction of the Maison’s reborn emblematic collection, an enriched Tambour with two additional firsts for Louis Vuitton — an integrated bracelet and an exclusive new and beautifully crafted automatic movement designed by La Fabrique  du Temps Louis Vuitton.

Design flows in every line of the new Tambour. This is design in its original sense, which goes beyond the aesthetic, into purpose and intention. To begin, a modern morphology, with a fully unisex 40mm diameter and an 8.3mm thick case that follows the line of any wearer’s arm. The integrated bracelet on the new Tambour, a first for Louis Vuitton, is a blend of robustness and fluidity, its slim, curved links providing a close and comfortable fit on the wrist to rival the softest leather strap.

Vacheron Constantin – Overseas Tourbillon High Jewelry

Vacheron Constantin enriches its Overseas collection with a new technical and precious tourbillon model. Available in an original combination of white gold with a blue dial, it is also distinguished by its bezel and hour-markers entirely set with baguette-cut diamonds. This 42.5 mm-diameter sporty-chic watch features a slender curvature thanks to its ultra-thin self-winding movement, in-house Calibre 2160 with tourbillon.

The Overseas tourbillon watch offers an excellent interpretation of Vacheron Constantin’s understated, creative aesthetic combined with perfect technical mastery.  This symbiosis is notably expressed through the slenderness of its curvature, made possible by its ultra-thin movement, Calibre 2160 measuring a mere 5.65 mm thick.  Such proportions – just over 10 mm thick for the cased-up watch – are achieved by means of the 22K gold peripheral rotor ensuring an 80-hour power reserve. This construction not only enhances thinness by eliminating the central axis of rotation of the oscillating weight, but also gives a clearer view of the entire movement from the back.

Roger Dubuis – Knights of the Roundtable

With only 28 limited edition pieces, Knights of the Round Table is the next exciting chapter of a renowned watchmaking quest. Ever since the first Knights of the Round Table timepiece was unveiled in 2013, Roger Dubuis has continued to shape and refine the collection’s aesthetics – always with bravery in the face of difficulty. casting in 18K pink gold, resulting in 6 mm tall knights.

Today, the twelve micro-engraved knights are dynamic in their movement and individual in their posture. Starting with the outer flange, Roger Dubuis has framed the entire scene in a ring of transparent ice-blue glass, crafted following the Murano method. This sublime timepiece is powered by the automatic Monobalancier RD821 calibre, made in-house at the Maison’s fully- integrated manufacture. Built with 172 components, and maintaining the highest standards of excellence, it features the hand-finishing of all parts, according to the criteria of the Poinçon de Genève; one of the most exclusive stamps of certification in watchmaking today.

Zenith – DEFY Skyline Skeleton Night Surfer El Primero

Limited to only 200 pieces, the bolder, bluer, more geometric lines and the latest generation of the high-frequency automatic El Primero calibre, the DEFY Skyline Skeleton Night Surfer El Primero is both a sequel and evolution of the original. For Time+Tide, the objective was to retain all the elements that made the original Night Surfer so outstanding while incorporating all the improvements that the DEFY Skyline Skeleton offers.

A first for the DEFY Skyline Skeleton model, the entire angular 41mm case with its dodecagonal bezel and integrated bracelet are crafted in microblasted titanium, lending it a homogenous, subdued grey tone with minimal light reflection. This highly animate feature in the DEFY Skyline Skyline Night Surfer El Primero is delivered by the El Primero 3620 automatic high-frequency manufacture movement, beating at the rate of 5Hz (36’000VpH). This rate allows for the 1/10th of a second indicator to be directly driven by the escapement. Its efficient automatic bi-directional winding mechanism with a blue star-shaped rotor delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.
